History
In 1881 a forward thinking Dane, Mr Carl F Petersen, founded an ironmongery business in his basement in Copenhagen. That company still family owned, has now been transformed into an international group with operating companies in eight countries throughout the world.
The Carl F Group is still based in Copenhagen, and its core business is still closely related to the construction industry.
CarlF structure
In 1988, the Group opened its first overseas company, Carl F Petersen Ltd., in Corby, in the heart of the Midlands, to meet the growing demands of the PVC-u replacement window and door industry. Subsequently d-line, the architectural ironmongery arm of the business, has established companies selling its prestigious range of architectural ironmongery in several countries where commercial construction is particularly active.
